What's the Happy Hour and how does it work?

At FELFEL, reducing food waste is a key priority, and we’d love for you to be part of this effort! To minimize waste, we offer attractive discounts that allow you to enjoy great food while contributing to a more sustainable system.

This article is divided into four sections:

• Section 1 provides general information about how our Happy Hour works.
• Section 2 applies to companies that receive deliveries from Monday to Friday (24/5).
• Section 3 is for companies that also receive weekend deliveries (24/7).
• Section 4 explains the discounts that may be available from Monday to Thursday.

1. General information

• Happy Hour starts at 3 PM Friday or Sunday depending on your company's delivery schedule. Find below the section that matches your company's delivery schedule to learn more about how you can benefit.
• The Happy Hour only applies to fresh products, that have a close expiry date. It will typically not apply to non-fresh items, such as snacks and drinks. If you’re unsure, simply scan the product to check—eligible items will show “Happy Hour Discount.”
• The Happy Hour discount cannot be combined with our 3-for-2 Combo offer or the 20% corner. Since only the best promotion can apply, the Happy Hour discount will take priority over the Combo and/or the 20% corner discount. • You can easily check which products are included in Happy Hour in the menu overview, either in your FELFEL app or on my.felfel.ch.

2. How does the Happy Hour work for 24/5 sites?

If your company receives deliveries Monday to Friday (24/5), here’s how our Happy Hour helps reduce food waste while giving you great discounts:

• Your last delivery of the week arrives on Thursday or Friday.
• Happy Hour starts every Friday at 3 PM—this is when discounts kick in.
• Enjoy 50% off all fresh products (meals, sandwiches, desserts, cakes...) that expire over the weekend.
• The discount does not apply to snacks, soft drinks, or fresh products that expire on Monday.
• Be sure to check the expiry or sell-by date before purchasing.
• The discount will be displayed on the screen next to the FELFEL fridge, so keep an eye out!

This way, you can enjoy fresh food at a great price while helping us reduce waste!

3. How does the Happy Hour work for 24/7 sites?

If your company receives deliveries every day of the week (24/7), here’s how our Happy Hour helps reduce food waste while giving you great discounts:

• Your FELFEL fridge is restocked throughout the week, including weekends.
• Happy Hour starts every Sunday at 3 PM—this is when discounts kick in.
• Enjoy 50% off all fresh products (meals, sandwiches, desserts, cakes...) that expire on the same day.
• The discount does not apply to snacks, soft drinks, or fresh products that expire on Monday.
• Be sure to check the expiry or sell-by date before purchasing.
• The discount will be displayed on the screen next to the FELFEL fridge, so keep an eye out!

4. How do additional special discounts work? ("For a Better World" Discount)

In addition to the regular Happy Hour, we occasionally offer special discounts to help reduce food waste and give you even more great deals. These discounts are not guaranteed every week, but when they happen, here’s what you need to know:

• They may take place any day from Monday to Thursday, always starting at 3 PM.
• You’ll get 50% off all fresh products (mainly meals or sandwiches) expiring on the same day.
• This offer does not apply to snacks or soft drinks.
• Always check the expiry or sell-by date before purchasing.
• You’ll see the discount displayed on the screen next to the FELFEL fridge, so be sure to check!

These special discounts are an extra perk and may not be available every week or every day, so keep an eye out and grab a deal when you can! The easiest way is to check the expiry date on the label and see if it’s today. 😊
