I found an expired product in the FELFEL fridge, what should I do? 

This article explains what to do if you find an expired product in the FELFEL fridge.

The driver removes any expired meals when they refill the FELFEL fridge. Depending on your delivery schedule or on holidays, though, it can happen that the driver hasn’t come by yet to take out the expired items and stock the new ones.

Because we strictly follow food safety regulations to guarantee quality, expired products can’t be scanned or purchased. If you try to scan an expired fresh meal, you’ll see an error message on the FELFEL screen:

So we kindly ask you to only take products that are still within their expiry date and to leave any expired items in the fridge for the driver to remove.

Don’t worry—expired products are not thrown away. We collect them and send them to Recycling Energie AG in Thurgovie, where they’re turned into biogas.
